We are pleased to announce our involvement in a significant nationwide programme supporting Jacobs with The Tide Gauge Network (TGN) Development Project. This important project includes assessment of the UK Tide Gauge Network (TGN), encompassing all 42 monitoring sites across the country.
We will be focused on evaluating the condition, performance, suitability and compliance of each site, providing a comprehensive understanding of how the existing network aligns with current operational requirements and future expectations.
Our team have already got a number of sites under their belt and are actively travelling the country undertaking detailed site assessments, drawing on extensive technical expertise to identify the gap between the network’s current state and its desired future state. The findings will help inform future investment, asset management strategies, and network development priorities.
The Tide Gauge Network is a critical component of the UK’s environmental monitoring infrastructure, providing essential data that supports coastal management, flood risk assessment, scientific research and understanding of long-term sea level change.
We are proud to be supporting Jacobs on this prestigious project and contributing to the future resilience and effectiveness of a network that plays such an important role in understanding and responding to environmental change.
