“Act soon on adaption” is the key message coming from a recent new report from the British Ports Association and HR Wallingford. The paper indicates that Ports needs to invest in future proofing their infrastructure to mitigate the risks from inevitable influences like sea level rise, climate change, extreme weather and tidal surges. For most businesses, the data and information they hold is one of their most important assets. Why then does the attention and governance applied to data and information often fall short of that applied to other parts of their business, such as health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ).
